Test Three aimed to debunk notions that Donut was covertly marketing a supercapacitor, so VTT fully charged the cell and left it idle for ten days. After this period, the charge level remained stable, with a minor decline typical of all batteries. This seemed to verify the cell as a battery, not a capacitor, which often struggles to retain charge long-term. Test Four was performed by Donut Lab itself, using a prototype battery in a Verge motorcycle at a fast charger.
